Office of Student Affairs
Who We Are & What We Do
UCLA Student Affairs provides all-inclusive support for the University's graduate and undergraduate student population through numerous programs and services that promote academic success and enhance the quality of campus life.
The Student Affairs organization encompasses The Administrative Office of the Vice Chancellor, two divisions, and two functional areas:
- The Division of Student Academic Services
- The Division of Student & Campus Life
- Student Development
- Student Health
Student Affairs supports the academic success of all UCLA students, and fosters their intellectual, personal, social and professional development in preparation for the entirety of their lives. Moreover, the work of Student Affairs contributes to enhancing the quality of campus life, the educational environment, and the students’ relationship with the broader UCLA family, including alumni.
The Vice Chancellor's Initiatives
- BruinCorps fosters an ethic of community service and civic engagement among UCLA students who, in turn, provide classroom tutoring and college mentoring to low-income children in under-resourced areas of Los Angeles.
- Early Academic Outreach Programs (EAOP) the University of California Early Academic Outreach Program, is UC’s largest outreach program and one of the oldest. EAOP expands postsecondary education opportunities for California’s educationally disadvantaged students. Since 1975 EAOP has been working with local schools to improve the quality of education by providing challenging academic enrichment opportunities to students. EAOP prepares students for the opportunity to make college possible by working together with families, educators, schools and communities.
